Volunteer Opportunities

Join us in safeguarding our shores for future generations. From beach cleanups and dune grass planting to Critter Round Ups and community events, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at Alliance for a Living Ocean.

Current volunteer opportunities will be linked in the corresponding dropdown sections below as they become available. Be sure to check back regularly and follow us on social media for the latest ways to get involved and make a direct impact on our coastal community.

  • Every Fall and Spring ALO hits the beaches with buckets and grabbers to collect trash that washes in from the ocean. If there is an upcoming beach cleanup opportunity, it will be linked here. If not, stay tuned for future updates and volunteer opportunities.

  • Coastal dunes are vital to the health of our beaches and the protection of coastal ecosystems. Our dune grass planting events focus on restoring these essential habitats, preventing erosion, and creating a safe environment for wildlife to thrive. By planting native grasses, we're not only stabilizing the dunes but also contributing to the long-term resilience of our shoreline. Join us in this hands-on, rewarding effort to restore the natural beauty and strength of our coasts. Every plant we sow today helps protect our shores for future generations.
