At Alliance for a Living Ocean, community connection is at the heart of what we do. Our flagship event, the Longboard Classic, is a beloved annual gathering that brings together surfers, locals, and visitors to celebrate ocean culture while raising funds for vital conservation work. It’s a day filled with friendly competition, live music, and a shared passion for protecting our coastal environment.
Beyond the Longboard Classic, we host and promote a variety of free events open to everyone, including beach cleanups and dune grass planting. These hands-on activities offer meaningful ways for community members of all ages to get involved, learn about environmental stewardship, and make a direct impact on our island’s health.
